This survey is being conducted by the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, in partnership with Pipe.Labo in Brazil, to collect fundraising, investment, and exit data on Latin America's impact investing industry. This information will be published in an update to the previous report and will focus on investments made in the years 2020 and 2021. 

Please note that in this survey the term "impact investment" refers to investments that satisfy the following conditions: 
  1. Direct investments in companies
  2. Have a social or environmental impact as an explicit objective
  3. Have an expectation of a financial return
  4. Minimum deal size of $25,000 (but can use any instrument including debt, equity, quasi-equity, or guarantees)
